Custom organization permissions

Custom organization permissions allow your members to manage the structure of your organization. You must be a Super Admin, Admin, or a member with the custom organization permission Manage organization permissions to assign organization permissions. The following custom organization permissions are available:

• Manage members - View, edit, add, and delete organization members
• Manage teams - View, edit, add, and delete teams in the organization
• Connect social accounts - Connect social accounts to the organization
• Delete social accounts - Delete social accounts from the organization
• Manage social accounts - View, edit, add, and delete social accounts in the organization
• Manage organization permissions - Set permissions for the organization
• Manage organization profile - Manage the organization's profile
• Manage Hootsuite Academy - Manage access to Hootsuite Academy
• Manage vanity URLs - Edit, add, and delete the organization's vanity URLs

Custom team permissions

Custom team permissions allow your members to manage teams in your organization. Learn how to assign custom team permissions.

You must have one of the following roles to set these permissions:

• Be an organization Super Admin, Admin, or a member with the custom organization permission to Manage members.
• Have Team Admin, Unlimited, or the custom team permission to Manage team permissions for the team.

The following custom team permissions are available:

• Manage members - Add or remove members from the team
• Manage team profile - Manage team name, photo, and team access to vanity URLs
• Manage social accounts - Add or remove social accounts from the team
• Manage vanity URLs - Add or remove team access to organization's vanity URLs
• Manage shared streams - Manage the team's shared streams
• Manage team permissions - Assign permissions to the team
• Manage content libraries - Edit, add, and delete assets in the team's content libraries
• Filter conversations in Inbox - Filter and sort conversations in Inbox
• Access Inbox Analytics - Access Inbox monitoring, reports, and exports
• Assign conversations to any agent in Inbox - Assign Inbox conversations to any agent in any team
• Manage Amplify content - Manage Amplify content

Custom social account permissions

Custom social account permissions allow your members to manage and publish to social accounts in your organization. These permissions also determine who has access to Inbox features in your organization and who can reply to conversations. Learn how to assign custom social account and Inbox permissions.

You must have one of the following roles to set these permissions:

• Be an organization Super Admin or Admin.
• Have Team Admin or Unlimited permissions for your team.
• Have Unlimited,Advanced, or the custom Manage member social network permissions for the social account.

The following custom social account permissions are available:

• Basic Usage/View only - View-only access to Streams.
• Publish posts - Publish posts, comments, and replies, and hide Facebook comments.
• Publish posts with approval - Require approval to publish posts. No approval is required for comments and replies.
• Comment and reply - Comment, reply, and publish posts to the social account.
• Comment and reply with approval - Require approval to comment, reply, and publish posts.
• Facebook private messages - Send private messages on Facebook.
• React - Like or favorite posts, comments, and replies on any social account.
• Repost X posts - Repost X posts.
• Approve messages - Approve team members' posts, comments, and replies.
• View private streams/messages - View private messages in the social account's streams (for example, X direct and Facebook private messages).
• Manage followers - Manage X and Facebook followers and fans.
• Manage social account profile - Reconnect, edit and sync the social account name, photo, and secure post settings.

• Boost posts - Promote posts on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn.
