Manage external approvals

If your organization’s approval process happens outside of Hootsuite, you can document those approvals directly in the platform. This workflow allows users with the proper permissions to mark posts as approved when scheduling or publishing, ensuring a clear audit trail in your post history and CSV exports.

This article describes the new Social OS experience. If you haven't switched yet, select the Classic tab for instructions. Learn more about the Social OS experience.

Plans: Enterprise

Note: Team members must have the Document external approvals permission enabled to mark a post as approved and enter an approval note. Learn more about setting approval permissions.
