Assign social account and Inbox permissions

Social account permissions let you choose who has access to a social account, and who can manage and publish content to social accounts in your organization. You can use these permissions to control off-brand or accidental communications by assigning specific accounts to teams or members. Social account permissions also determine who has access to Inbox features in your organization and who can reply to conversations. Social account permissions are set for each social account that a member has access to.

Each social account permission level can do the following:

Assign social account permissions to your members

You must have one of the following roles to set these permissions:

• Be an organization Super Admin or Admin
• Have Team Admin or Unlimited permissions for your team
• Have Unlimited, Advanced, or the custom permission Manage member social network permissions for the social account

Follow the instructions for your plan. If you don't know what plan you have, go to Hootsuite and select Account - you'll find it below your name.

Standard, Team, Advanced, and Enterprise plan members

1. Go to Account , and then select Social accounts and teams.
2. Select Social accounts (you may have to expand the left navigation to see this option).
   
3. Select More actions next to a social account, and then select View social account details.
4. Select social account permissions for each member. Advanced plan members can set custom permissions (see Overview of custom permissions).
   

Business plan members

1. Go to Account, and then select Social accounts and teams.
   
2. Select Social Networks.
   
3. Select a social account, and then set the social account-level permissions for each team member. To grant custom permissions, select Custom, select each setting the member is allowed to manage, and then select Save. Point to Information for details on each setting.
