Connect a Threads account

Tip: This feature is available on the web version of Hootsuite only (not on mobile). Threads are currently not available in Streams.

Connect a Meta Threads account to Hootsuite to publish to it and engage with your audience alongside your other social accounts.

To connect social accounts to Hootsuite organizations, you must be an organization Super Admin, Admin, or have a custom organization permission to Connect social accounts or Manage social accounts. Social accounts can only be connected to one organization, but they can be shared with multiple teams. Learn more about managing your organization's social accounts.

Connect your Threads account

You must connect your Threads account using the web version of Hootsuite. Mobile is not available at this time.

1. In a separate browser tab or window, log out of Instagram.
2. Use the following instructions for your plan type:
   • Professional and Business - Go to Account , and then select Social accounts and teams. To connect a social account to a Hootsuite organization, select Manage, and then select Add a social account. Otherwise, select + Private account.
   • Standard, Team, Advanced, and Enterprise - Go to Account , select Social accounts and teams, select New, and then select Connect social accounts.
3. Select Threads.
4. Enter your Instagram account credentials (username and password) and then select Log In.
   
   Note: You must accept the optional "Create and share posts on Threads account" permission to create threads in Hootsuite.
5. Select Add beside the Threads profiles you want to connect to Hootsuite, and then select Done.
