Remove a social account from Hootsuite

If you no longer manage a social account in Hootsuite, you can remove it to free up space in your plan for new accounts. Removing a social account deletes it from Hootsuite. Past and currently scheduled content, streams, and all analytics data associated with the account are deleted too.

Remove a social account

Important: Removing an account from Hootsuite (like a Facebook Page) that is associated with an ad account, also removes that account's associated ad accounts.

  1. In Hootsuite, go to Account and then select Social accounts and teams.
  2. Under Private social accounts, select Settings next to the social account, and then select Remove from Hootsuite.

  3. Select OK.

Important: To fully disconnect Hootsuite from the social account, revoke Hootsuite access. Learn how to revoke Hootsuite access to a social account.
