View and manage muted contacts

From time to time, agents might need to prevent future interaction with certain individuals. To do so, they can mute a contact. When new conversations from that contact come in, Inbox will automatically resolve them.

Allow agents to mute contacts

You can turn the option to allow agents to mute contacts on or off. You can still find muted contacts and full conversation histories by searching for a contact's name or conversation content.

1. In Inbox, select Settings, and then select Admin settings.
2. Expand Privacy and security, and then select Muted contacts.
3. Select or clear the Allow agents to mute contacts check box.

Manage muted contacts

See all of the contacts that have been muted, access their conversation histories, and unmute them. Go to Inbox Admin settings, expand Privacy and security, and then select Muted contacts.
