Learn which types of posts your audience interacts with the most by sorting your reports and metric tiles by post type. This helps you understand what works and what to publish more of to keep your audience engaged.

Filter a report by post or media type

Discover which types of posts and campaigns performed best on social media by filtering your data in Analytics. You can filter reports and specific metric tiles by post type, tag, and campaign. For Instagram Business posts, you can filter by collaboration posts and by collaborator name to include or exclude them.

Note: You can only filter post-level metrics by post type for Facebook, Instagram Business, LinkedIn Pages, and LinkedIn profiles.

1. Go to Analytics and open a report. Learn how to open a report.
2. Select Manage filters . We’ll show different social network options based on the metrics in your report.
3. Select one or more types of posts from the Post type or Media type list for each social network, and then select Apply.
   

To view the active filters applied to your report, select Show filters.

For example, if you’re interested to learn how your Instagram reel posts performed in the last 30 days, you can create an Instagram publishing report (see Create an Analytics report). Select Last 30 days as your date range and then filter the report to only view results for reels.

Filter a metric tile by post or media type

1. In your report, point to a tile, and then select Configure tile.
   
2. Select Data, select one or more types of posts from the Post type or Media type list, and then select Apply.
