Customize Parliament emails

Invite your colleagues to Parliament with a personalized email and choose whether to send your members a weekly digest of new Parliament content for the week. Your advocates can choose whether or not to receive Parliament email notifications.

This article describes the new Social OS experience. If you haven't switched yet, select the Classic tab for instructions. Learn more about the Social OS experience.

Select Save.

Show or hide mobile app links in the email footer

Choose whether your emails include a link to download the Hootsuite mobile app. This setting applies to all your Parliament emails, including post notifications, digest emails, and welcome emails. The option to show mobile app links in your Parliament emails is enabled by default.

Go to Parliament, and then select Admin settings.
Select Email customization, and then select the General tab.
Toggle the Show mobile app links option off to remove links to mobile apps in email footers.
Select Save.

Customize your invitation

Set up and customize the Parliament invitation you send to your advocates. Each advocate receives the invitation in the language set in their Hootsuite profile, as long as you've published a welcome email for that language. Otherwise, they receive your organization's default language.

Go to Parliament, and then select Admin settings.
Select Email customization, and then select the Welcometab.
Review the default subject line and body of the email for your default language, and make any necessary changes. You can add bold, italics, and links to the body, preview the email, or reset it to the default text.
Select Save.
(Optional) Add a welcome email in another language. Select the tab for that language and do one of the following:
- Select Copy from default to start from your default-language text.
- Select Start from scratch and enter a subject line and body for your email.
(Optional) Select Preview to see how the email will be displayed.
Select Save.

Go to Amplify, and then select Admin settings.
Select Email customization, and then select Welcome at the top of the page to edit your welcome email.

Once your member selects Get started, they'll be asked to sign in to Hootsuite (either using SSO, if you have that set up, or by entering their email and password). If your member doesn't select Get started, they'll receive a follow-up reminder email after three days and another after seven days.

When members who are not using single sign-on receive their invitation, they have 30 days to act on it. If they don't select Get started during that time, you'll need to resend your invitation.

Resend an invitation

If you need to resend an invitation, use the following instructions:

Go to Parliament, and then select Admin settings.
Select Members list.
Next to the member you'd like to re-invite, select Actions , and then select Resend welcome email.
