Connect a LinkedIn account

Connect a LinkedIn profile or Page to Hootsuite to manage it from the same place as your other social media accounts. When you connect a LinkedIn account to Hootsuite, you can publish to it, engage with your audience, create reports, and more. Each LinkedIn user can connect up to 100 Pages, including Showcase and University Pages.

To connect social accounts to Hootsuite organizations, you must be an organization Super Admin, Admin, or have a custom organization permission to Connect social accounts or Manage social accounts. Social accounts can only be connected to one organization, but they can be shared with multiple teams. Learn more about managing your organization's social accounts.

Before you begin

If you're connecting a LinkedIn Page to Hootsuite, make sure that your personal LinkedIn account is a Super Admin of the Page. You'll sign in with your LinkedIn account to give Hootsuite access to your Pages, but you don't need to connect your personal LinkedIn profile to Hootsuite. Important: Hootsuite does not support emoji in LinkedIn account names. If your Page name contains an emoji, remove it before you connect the account to Hootsuite.

Connect your LinkedIn profile or Page

In a separate browser tab or window, log out of LinkedIn.
Use the following instructions for your plan type:
- Professionaland Business - Go to Account , and then select Social accounts and teams. To connect a social account to a Hootsuite organization, select Manage, and then select Add a social account. Otherwise, select + Private account.
- Standard, Team, Advanced, and Enterprise - Go to Account , select Social accounts and teams, select New, and then select Connect social accounts.
Select LinkedIn.
Enter the LinkedIn account credentials (email and password) and then select Sign in.
Select Add beside the Pages and profiles you want to connect to Hootsuite, and then select Done.
Optional: If a selected Page has access to an ad account, select the ad accounts you want to connect to Hootsuite, and then select Done. Add your ad accounts to sponsor your LinkedIn Page posts using Hootsuite.

Note: When you connect social accounts on mobile, they are added to your private accounts. To add social accounts to an organization, use the web version of Hootsuite.

Select your profile picture to manage your account.
Select Social accounts.
Select the plus icon +, and then select LinkedIn.
Enter the LinkedIn account credentials, and then select Sign in.
Select Add beside the Pages and profiles you want to connect to Hootsuite, and then select Done.
