Connect a Bluesky account

Connect Bluesky account to Hootsuite to publish to manage it from the same place as your other social media accounts. When you connect a Bluesky account to Hootsuite, you can publish content to it, schedule posts in advance, and manage them as part of your larger social content calendar.

To connect social accounts to Hootsuite organizations, you must be an organization Super Admin, Admin, or have a custom organization permission to Connect social accounts or Manage social accounts. Social accounts can only be connected to one organization, but they can be shared with multiple teams. Learn more about managing your organization's social accounts.

Connect your Bluesky account

In a separate browser tab or window, log out of Bluesky.
Use the following instructions for your plan type:
- Professional and Business - Go to Account , and then select Social accounts and teams. To connect a social account to a Hootsuite organization, select Manage, and then select Add a social account. Otherwise, select + Private account.
- Standard, Team, Advanced, and Enterprise - Go to Account , select Social accounts and teams, select New, and then select Connect social accounts.
Select Bluesky.
Enter your Bluesky account username (in the format janedoe.bsky.social), and then select Next.
Enter your Bluesky password, and then select Sign in.
Review the permissions for Hootsuite to manage your Bluesky account, and then select Authorize.

Note: When you connect social accounts on mobile, they are added to your private accounts. To add social accounts to an organization, use the web version of Hootsuite.

Select your profile picture to manage your account.
Select Social accounts.
Select the plus icon +, and then select Bluesky.
Enter the Bluesky account credentials, and then select Sign In.
