Parliament metrics

Parliament (formerly Amplify) metrics help you figure out how you're doing on Parliament. This article goes over the Parliament metrics available in Analytics. Use CTRL+F (CMD +F on Mac) to search content in this article.

Parliament metrics are available to Parliament customers with access to Analytics. There are additional Parliament metrics available to Enterprise Amplify admins.

Note: In 2018, Facebook implemented limitations that affect analytics for Facebook profiles (not Facebook Pages). For Facebook profiles, we are only able to count web (not mobile) shares. Learn more about this limitation.

Parliament metrics

Metric	Description



Active members	The number of members who logged in, navigated through Parliament, or shared posts during the selected time frame
Adoption rate	The proportion of active members as a percentage of the members who signed up for Parliament
Ow‌.ly clicks	The number of Ow‌.ly link clicks in Parliament and all social networks during the selected timeframe
Posts published	The number of posts published to Parliament. Cannot be filtered by team. This metric counts both posts published to the Parliament organization's social accounts and those published to private accounts
Potential ad value	The estimated paid social ad value of your published posts during the selected timeframe. This amount is calculated by dividing the potential reach of your posts by a thousand, then multiplying that number by an industry average of $12 spent per thousand reached
Potential reach	The maximum possible audience your Parliament post could have reached at the moment it was shared. This metric calculates the sum of all your advocates’ followers at the moment they share an Parliament post. If Advocate A has 100 followers and Advocate B has 50, and both share, the Potential reach is 150.
Shares	The number of shares of your posts published during the time frame
Sign up rate	The proportion of member sign-ups as a percentage of the members invited
Suggested posts	The total number of posts suggested by the members of your organization
Member activity	A list of all the members in your organization, along with information about who has signed up or been active on Parliament
Members invited	The number of members added to your organization to date
New member signups	The number of members who have logged into Parliament at least once
Members who shared	The number of members who shared a post in the selected time frame
Parliament leaderboard	Shows Parliament member activity and engagement and compares relative impact based on a points system. Points are calculated based on the 30 days leading up to the selected end date. The start date does not impact the results.

Parliament social network-specific metrics

Gain deeper insights into your advocate social media content performance. Metrics are backfilled for one year with the exception of X, which backfills data for 28 days.

Parliament post photo views	The number of times people clicked to view photos in posts shared from Parliament during the date range, without generating a feed story
Parliament post video views (sound-on)	The number of times videos shared from Parliament were watched with sound on for at least three seconds
Parliament post video views (auto-play)	The number of times videos shared from Parliament automatically played for at least three seconds (or to the end, if shorter)
Post other actions	The number of other actions taken anywhere in posts shared from Parliament during the time frame (for example, pointing at a post)
Parliament post organic views	The number of times posts shared from Parliament were displayed on a person's screen, without paid promotion. Posts include statuses, photos, links, videos, and more
Parliament post video views	The number of times videos shared from Parliament were watched for at least three seconds (or to the end, if shorter)
Parliament post paid views	The number of times content shared from Parliament during the date range was displayed on a person's screen, with paid promotion. Content includes statuses, photos, links, videos, and more
Parliament post clicks	The number of clicks anywhere in posts shared from Parliament during the date range. This includes clicks on links, photos, videos, and other clicks
Parliament post link clicks	The number of clicks on the links in posts shared from Parliament during the date range. This includes clicks on links, photos, videos, and other clicks
Parliament post other clicks	The number of clicks on something other than links, photos, or videos in posts shared from Parliament during the date range. These can include clicks on your Page name, people’s names in the comments, the like count, or the time stamp
Parliament post video length	The length of your video posts on Parliament
Parliament post video views (click-to-play)	The number of times videos shared from Parliament were watched for at least three seconds, after people clicked to play them
Parliament post engagement	The number of likes, reactions, comments, clicks, and shares received by posts shared from Parliament during the date range. This doesn't include likes, reactions and clicks received by reels
Parliament post engagement rate	The average engagement rate for all posts shared from Parliament, calculated as the sum of engagement rates for each post divided by the number of posts. The engagement rate for a post is calculated as the number of people who liked, reacted, commented, shared, and clicked on posts shared during the date range (not including likes, reactions and clicks on reels), as a percentage of the number of total unique viewers. We recommend Line, Area, and Column visualizations for daily values over time as Number, Gauge, Pie, and List visualizations can only display average daily values.
Parliament post likes	The number of likes and care reactions of posts shared from Parliament during the date range. This number can decrease if people later remove their likes or care reactions
Parliament post likes and reactions	The number of likes and reactions (love, haha, wow, sad or angry) of posts shared from Parliament during the date range. This number can decrease if people later remove their likes or reactions
Parliament post reactions: Love	The number of "Love" reactions of posts shared from Parliament during the date range. This number will decrease if people remove their reaction
Parliament post reactions: Anger	The number of "Anger" reactions of posts shared from Parliament during the date range. This number will decrease if people remove their reaction

Parliament post reels replays	The number of times reels shared from Parliament during the date range were replayed. Replays of at least a millisecond are counted after the initial play of the reel in the same session

Parliament post unique views	The number of total unique media viewers for your Facebook content shared from Parliament.
Parliament post shares	The number of times people shared content on Instagram that was shared from Parliament during the date range. This doesn't include stories
Parliament post saves	The number of times people saved posts shared from Parliament during the date range. Posts include photos, videos, carousels and reels.
Parliament story exits	The number of times people swiped out of stories shared from Parliament during the date range before they ended
Parliament story taps forward	The number of times people tapped to see the next photos or videos in stories shared from Parliament during the date range
Parliament story taps back	The number of times people tapped to see the previous photos or videos in stories shared from Parliament during the date range
Parliament story replies	The number of replies to stories shared from Parliament during the date range. This doesn't include replies made by people in Europe and Japan. For stories created by people in Europe and Japan, the number of replies will be zero
Parliament post follows from a post	The number of people who started following you from content shared from Parliament during the date range. This doesn't include followers from IGTV and stories
Parliament profile visits from a post	The number of times people visited your profile from content shared from Parliament during the date range. This doesn't include profile visits from IGTV and stories
Parliament profile activity from a post	The number of actions people take when they visit your profile after engaging with posts shared from Parliament during the date range. This doesn't include actions from IGTV, and stories

If you don't see values for LinkedIn profile post impressions, post reach, post reposts, post comments, and post reactions, re-authenticate your LinkedIn profile's connection to Hootsuite. Learn more about reconnecting social accounts.

Note: LinkedIn doesn't always return engagement metrics that match LinkedIn's own counts, so reshare, reaction, and comment numbers in Hootsuite may differ from what you see directly in LinkedIn.
