Assign team permissions
Team permissions allow you to choose who has access to manage a team and its assets within your organization. For example, who can add and manage their team's members, vanity URLs, and library content.
Assign team permissions to your members
You must have one of the following roles to set these permissions:
- Be an organization Super Admin or Admin.
- Have Team Admin, Unlimited, or custom Manage team permissions for the team you want to set permissions for.
Note: Super Admins and Admins inherit Team Admin or Unlimited permissions for all of the teams in the organization.
Expand the instructions for your plan. If you don't know what plan you have, go to Hootsuite, and then select Account
- you'll find it below your name.
- Go to Account
, and then select Social accounts and teams.
- Assign team permissions for each member.
The following table summarizes the actions permitted for each team role.

- Go to Account
, and then select Social accounts and teams.
- Select Teams.
- Select a team, and then assign team permissions for each member. To assign custom permissions, select Custom, select each setting the member is allowed to manage, and then select Save. Point to Information
