Content library improvements - March 24, 2025

Some big changes are coming to the content library to help you and your teams create compelling, on-brand social content more easily. This article highlights some of the improvements you'll see to Hootsuite's content library in the coming weeks.

These changes will be available automatically. No action from you will be required. You will still have access to all your existing content libraries and media assets, and existing permissions for your team members will remain the same.

New design for easier navigation

We're introducing tabs to organize your content libraries and third party content sources more efficiently. You'll be able to switch easily between your content sources and grab the media assets and templates you need.

We're also updating the Media and Templates views for a cleaner and more organized experience, and adding badges to individual media assets to identify their availability. Your team will be able to see, at a glance, which media assets and templates they can use for social posts.

Quick access to library management workflows

With the improved content library, you'll be able to create new libraries and manage existing libraries from the main Content dashboard. You'll also see a new Search field in the content library list to make it easy for you and your team members to quickly find the library you're looking for.

We're also making it easier to manage your media assets, with quick access to common actions you can take when you select an asset.

You'll also be able to perform bulk actions on multiple media assets or templates at the same time.

Ability to create templates from the content library

Using templates for your team's content is a great way to make sure your social posts are always on-brand. As part of our content library improvements, we're adding an option to create a template right from the content library.

You'll be able to add media and text, add tags, and specify when the template can be used by your team members.

New location for Bulk message upload

As we streamline navigation for a better content library experience, we're moving the Bulk message upload option to the Create a post menu, to better align with the post creation workflow.
