In addition, tags meeting auto-tagger rules for those accounts' posts are added, Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics web conversion metrics for those accounts are available, and data for those accounts are available for export.

Plans: Customers with Advanced Analytics. Want more Hootsuite features? Upgrade your plan.

Add your accounts

Add your social and ad accounts to Advanced Analytics. Your plan type determines the number of accounts you can add. You'll see the number of accounts you've added. Remember, that number includes any web analytics accounts you've added, even though those don't show up in this list.

  1. Add your social accounts to Hootsuite.
  2. Go to Analytics, and then select Analytics settings from the bottom of the navigation.
  3. Select Advanced accounts.
  4. Use the options at the top of the page to select a social account, and then select Add connection.
Advanced Analytics, Advanced Accounts settings with Add connection highlighted.

Manage your Advanced Analytics account connections

View the social or ad accounts you've added to Advanced Analytics and remove accounts you no longer want to use in Advanced Analytics.

  1. Go to Analytics, and then select Analytics settings from the bottom of the navigation.
  2. Select Advanced accounts to view your connected accounts, including the member who added the account and the date the account was added.
  3. Select the accounts you want to remove, and then select Remove accounts.
Advanced Analytics accounts with details of the account and Remove highlighted.

When you remove an account connection from Advanced Analytics, disconnect it, or transfer the account to another organization, it is removed from ROI analysis, Impact content, and Content comparison. In addition, the following actions happen in Advanced Analytics:

  • The associated ROI data for that account is deleted.
  • Tags previously added by auto-tagger are kept. However, new posts from that account will not be tagged.
  • Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics web conversion metrics for that account are deleted.
  • Exports of scheduled reports that use the data from a removed account will stop.
