Customize the metric tiles in a report
Customize the metric tiles in your report to view the data that matters to you. You can also place and size tiles wherever and however you want in your reports to make the data easier to understand.
Go to Analytics, and then open a report to get started (see Open an Analytics report).
Move a metric tile around
Move the tiles that matter most to the top. Press and hold the top of your tile, and then drag the tile to the new location to reorder tiles however you like.
Resize a tile
Want some tiles to be bigger or smaller? Need more room to display your metrics data? Press and hold the bottom right corner of your tile, and then drag in or out to set the tile size.
Get detailed information about a metric
Need a reminder of the data included in your metric tile? You can view your metric information at any time.
- Point to a tile and select More info to see the following metric details:
- Name and description.
- Metric type (post-level or Page-level). Learn more about these two types of metrics.
- Post type (organic, promoted, ad). Promoted posts can be Facebook boosted posts, Twitter promoted posts, or LinkedIn sponsored posts.
- Social network.
- Time zone in which we collect the data from the social network. For example, we collect data from Facebook in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
- Data provider.
Choose how you want to display your metric tile
Rename a tile, add a compare or sort by metric, or change a visualization.
- Point to a tile, and then select Configure tile.
- Select Properties, and then make your changes. You can compare results, select a size, and select to display them in a different chart type.
- Select Close when you're done.
Choose the data you want to display in your tile
Whether you want to see aggregated or comparative data, it’s up to you. You can choose which social accounts, tags, campaigns, and post types you want to see in your tiles. If you’re using Team performance, you can also filter results using Team metrics.
Note: Changing a tile's filters or sources displays an orange dot next to its name to indicate the data was customized. Tiles with customized data will not be affected by report filters or sources. To use your current report settings, select Reset data in the Data tab.
- Point to a tile and select Configure tile.
- Select Data, and then open each list to select the results you want to display in your report.
- Select Apply after each selection from a list.
- Select Close when you're done.
Track multiple metrics in a single tile
Add, track, and compare up to 8 metrics in a tile. This is handy if you want to see how specific metrics performed across multiple brands and social networks.

- Point to a tile, and then select Configure tile.
- Select Data, and then select Add metric to tile to open the metrics library.
- Select a metrics library, a social network, and browse or search for a metric. Check out the complete list of metrics.
- Select Add to add the metric to your tile. You can identify tiles with multiple metrics by this icon:
Notes:
- Only the following visualizations can be used for tiles with multiple metrics: Line, Area, Column, Number, List, Pie.
- Tiles with multiple metrics do not support comparison options.
- Adding metrics to a tile won't be possible if the tile has a comparison option selected or a visualization that doesn't support multiple metrics.
Edit metrics in a tile
You can edit the name and settings for any metric in your tile.
- Select Data, find your metric, and then select Edit metric.
- Change the metric's name, sources, or filters, and select Apply after each selection.
Note: Changing a metric's filters or sources displays an orange dot next to its name to indicate the data was customized. Metrics with customized data will not be affected by report filters or sources. To use your current report settings, select Reset data in the Data tab.
Delete metrics from a tile
Select Data, find your metric, and then Delete metric .
Delete a tile
- Point to a tile and select Configure tile.
- Select Delete tile , and then confirm.
