Discover the best times to post

Use the Best time to publish view to see the optimal days and times to publish your posts. Then use those times to build awareness, increase engagement, and drive traffic. We personalize your suggestions based on your social results for the last 30 days.

You can find suggestions for the best times to publish on your Facebook Pages, Twitter accounts, Instagram Business accounts, LinkedIn Pages, and TikTok Business accounts. Business and Enterprise customers can also find suggestions for their LinkedIn profiles.

Plans: This feature is not available to Free plan members. To change your plan type and access this feature, see Manage your Hootsuite plan and account.

  1. Go to Analytics.
  2. Select Best time to publish.

  4. Select a social network and a social account, and then select to view suggestions for best times to post.

    1. Select Build awareness to view suggestions for the best times to publish on social and have your posts seen more often by your audience.
    2. Point to a square to view the average number of impressions for your posts for a specific day and time.

    Engagement refers to any form of interaction with your posts on social media. We measure engagement using a range of metrics such as likes, comments, and replies.

    To increase engagement, consider using text, images, videos, and GIFs, and publishing them at the suggested times to encourage more people to interact with your content. Learn more about increasing social media engagement.

    1. Select Increase engagement to view suggestions for the best times to publish on social to engage your audience and encourage more people to like, comment, and reply to your posts.
    2. Point to a square to view the average engagement rate or number of engagements for your posts for a specific day and time.

    Drive action beyond social by adding links to your posts that encourage people to visit your website or online shop, download a resource, or sign up for your email newsletter.

    1. Select Drive traffic to view suggestions for the best times to publish on social to get more visitors to your website and generate more revenue for your business.

To view suggestions, try publishing more posts and look to use images, videos, and GIFs to get noticed and increase your engagement.
