What is advanced billing?
With advanced billing, invoices are sent before services begin. At Hootsuite, we bill one month before services start. So, if your services start on 1 March, you can expect to receive your first invoice on 1 February. By billing in advance, we ensure customers are aware of their charges as early as possible.
Does advanced billing change my payment terms?
No, advanced billing does not impact your payment terms.
Why did I receive two invoices in the same month?
Customers who receive monthly invoices may receive two invoices in one month. This happens when the current service invoice and the next service invoice arrive shortly after one another.
This is more likely to happen during the transition to advanced billing. Afterwards, you should only receive a single advanced invoice at a time.
Why do I have two credit card charges in the same month?
Customers who pay by credit card may receive two charges in one month. This happens when there is a charge for the current service period and another for the future service period.
