Manage collaboration settings

As a main Hootsuite Ads user, you can set account-level settings to streamline ad campaign approval and management, Ideal for agencies, campaign approvals and onboarding requests simplify client interactions in Hootsuite Ads.

Main Hootsuite Ads users have additional settings on the Collaboration tab. As a main user, you can rebrand request emails and landing pages that are sent to clients, and make campaign approval mandatory for the Hootsuite Ads account you manage. Account sub-users don't have access to these settings, but they can access rebranding features.

View current campaign approvals and onboarding requests

On the Hootsuite Ads home page, select the Collaboration tab to see all of your campaign approvals and onboarding request at a glance. Main Hootsuite Ads users cannot see requests made by sub-users, and vice versa.

Enable white-labeling on collaboration requests

White-labeling lets you customize the logo, company name, requester's name or reply-to address on the emails and landing pages that get sent with approval and onboarding requests.

  1. On the Hootsuite Ads home page, select Settings, and then select the Whitelabel tab.
  2. Select Choose a file and upload your logo. This is required before you can enable white-labeling.
  3. Optional: Enter a company name.
  4. Optional: Enter a reply-to email address other than the Hootsuite Ads account email address.
  5. Select Apply Settings.
  6. Select the Whitelabel toggle to enable white-labeling.

Enable mandatory campaign approvals

Mandatory campaign approvals add a layer of protection so that ad campaigns can’t be published without first being approved. Set a default approver for all approvals, or leave the approver to be designated when the approval request is created. Mandatory approvals are enforced for all users, including the main Hootsuite Ads user who enables them.

  1. On the Hootsuite Ads home page, select the Collaboration tab, and then select Settings.
  2. Select the Mandatory campaign approval toggle.
  3. Optional:If you want to designate a default approver, enter an email address for the person required to approve all campaigns. Otherwise, the approver will be designated when the approval request is created.
  4. Select Apply Settings.
