Remove a social account from Hootsuite
If you no longer manage a social account in Hootsuite, you can remove it to free up space in your plan for new accounts. Removing a social account deletes it from Hootsuite. Past and currently scheduled content, streams, and all analytics data associated with the account are deleted too.
You can save content before you remove a social account (see Export your content calendar).
Tip: This article describes how to remove an account that is not connected to a Hootsuite organization. For instructions on how to remove a social account from a Hootsuite team or organization, see Manage your organization's social accounts.
Remove a social account
Important: Removing an account from Hootsuite (like a Facebook Page) that is associated with an ad account, also removes that account's associated ad accounts.
- In Hootsuite, go to Account
and then select Social accounts and teams.
- Under Private social accounts, select Settings
next to the social account, and then select Remove from Hootsuite.
- Select OK.
Note: Only private social accounts can be removed on mobile. To remove a social account that's in an organization, use the web version of Hootsuite.
- Select your profile picture
to manage your account.
- Select Social accounts.
- Swipe left on the social account in the list, and then confirm that you want to delete it.
Important: To fully disconnect Hootsuite from the social account, revoke Hootsuite access. Learn how to revoke Hootsuite access to a social account.
