About login verification
As an extra layer of security, we may ask you to verify your Hootsuite login with a confirmation code. We send this code to your Hootsuite account email address.
We ask you to verify your login if you attempt to sign in to your account from a new location or IP address. We also ask when you have too many failed login attempts on the web or mobile app.
Verify your account
If you are asked to verify your login and aren't sure how to do it, see the following instructions:
- When you get the Verify your account page, select Send to (your account email address), and we'll send you a code.
- Paste the code into the Verify Your Account page, and then select Submit.
If you don't get an email with the code, select Resend on the Verify Your Account page. If you are still having trouble, see Troubleshoot Hootsuite email issues for more help.
Tip: Change your password if you suspect that someone is trying to access your account. See Change your profile, email, and password.
