About login verification

Hootsuite's login verification system provides an extra layer of security by asking you to verify your account with a confirmation code sent to the email address associated with your Hootsuite account.

Hootsuite requires login verification after too many failed login attempts, or when you attempt to sign in to your Hootsuite account from a new location or IP address. Multiple failed login attempts trigger Captcha as an additional login verification. If you attempt to sign in from a new location, Hootsuite sends a notification to the email address associated with your Hootsuite account.

Verify your account

  1. Too many failed login attempts or logging in from a new location or IP address launches the Verify your account page. From here, select Send to (your account email address). Hootsuite sends a confirmation code to that email address.
  2. Paste the code into the Verify Your Account page, and then select Submit. Hootsuite logs the location to avoid prompting another verification.
