Manage your Hootsuite mobile subscription
Hootsuite mobile offers in-app subscriptions when you begin a 30-day free trial and transition to a paid subscription at the end of the 30 days.
Hootsuite mobile subscriptions renew automatically each month or year. They are billed to your Google Play or Apple ID account payment method at the beginning of each billing cycle.
To avoid unwanted charges following a trial, remove your Hootsuite mobile accountand cancel your payment subscription through Google Play or the Apple App Store at least 24 hours before your next billing date, or before your free trial expires.
Cancel your mobile subscription
If you upgraded your plan to a Professional plan from the Hootsuite mobile app and want to cancel your mobile subscription, use the following instructions. If you are on a Team plan, you'll need to change your plan on the web version of Hootsuite (see Manage your Hootsuite plan and account).
- Select your profile picture
to manage your account.
- Select Current Plan: Professional.
- Select I understand, please downgrade.
- Select Take me to the App Store.
If you are not directed to the app store, follow these steps to cancel your subscription. - Select Cancel Trial, or Cancel Subscription.
- Select Confirm.
- Select your profile picture
to manage your account.
- Select Current plan.
- Select I understand, please downgrade.
- Select Downgrade.
- Open the Google Play Store, select your profile picture, select Payments & subscriptions, and then select Subscriptions.
- Choose the subscription you want to cancel, and then select Cancel subscription.

Delete your Hootsuite account
If you upgraded your plan to a Professional plan from the Hootsuite mobile app, you will need to cancel your mobile subscription before you delete your account to avoid charges. If you have a Team plan, you'll need to cancel your account on the web version of Hootsuite (see Manage your Hootsuite plan and account).
Important: Because in-app subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store, your Hootsuite account and app subscription both have to be canceled separately.
First, cancel your mobile payment subscription with the Apple App Store to stop further charges. Then delete your Hootsuite account.
To cancel your subscription with the App Store, do the following:
- In your device Settings, select [Your Name] - Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases.
- Select Subscriptions. You may be prompted to sign in.
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- Select Cancel Subscription.

To delete your Hootsuite account, do the following:
- In the Hootsuite mobile app, select your profile picture
to manage your account.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Select Delete Account.
When you delete your Hootsuite account on Android, your mobile payment subscription with the Google Play Store is canceled automatically.
- In the Hootsuite mobile app, select your profile picture
to manage your account.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Select Delete account.
Mobile subscription billing
Subscriptions for the Hootsuite mobile app are paid to Apple, and are therefore subject to Apple’s Services Terms and Conditions. Hootsuite does not have visibility into purchases made through an app store, or access to information about those transactions.
If you experience an issue with any Apple purchases, please visit Apple Support. You will be asked to sign in with your Apple ID and password, and then you can report your issue.
