Types of reports in Analytics

Choose from a number of report types, including organic, performance, and overview reports. Open report views to get an overview of your social performance or use pre-built templates to create different reports. Learn how to create a report in Analytics.

Check out your Social score and insights for a monthly or weekly snapshot of your social media performance on your Facebook Pages, LinkedIn Pages, and Instagram business accounts. You'll also get insights and recommendations to help you improve and strengthen your social media presence. Learn more about this report.

Depending on your plan type, you may also have access to an Overview report. From here, you can access common Analytics reports, find your key metrics, review your social performance score, and see your top posts at a glance.

Demo reports

Explore the power of Hootsuite Analytics with demo reports. You can find these when you select Create a report, and then select Demo reports in Analytics.

• Audience growth - Track the size of an audience across multiple social accounts. Look at the number of fans, followers, and new followers - are you growing your audience? Look at ways you may be able to correlate audience growth with activity on different social networks.
• Post engagement - Find out what an audience is interested in and learn what makes them engage with your brand. Take a look at how many posts were published on each social network and how many reactions, likes, comments, replies, and shares they received to learn what peaks your audience's interest.
• Multiple networks overview - Get a side-by-side comparison of the most important metrics across multiple social networks. See the evolution of followers and fans, correlations between posting activity and engagement over time, and sentiment ratings on audience comments.

Performance by goal report templates

Track performance toward your social goals with pre-built report templates. You can find these when you select Create a report in Analytics.

Awareness

• Performance highlights - Communicate key social media performance insights to stakeholders outside of your team. This report highlights significant metrics and achievements on a monthly basis, making it ideal for executive summaries or high-level reviews.
• Multiple networks overview - Get a side-by-side comparison of the most important metrics across multiple social networks. See the evolution of followers and fans, correlations between posting activity and engagement over time, and sentiment ratings on audience comments.
• Brand awareness - See how your brand is performing on social media. Review your audience impressions and engagement across your social accounts.
• Audience growth - Track the size of your audience across your social accounts.

Conversion

• Link clicks - Understand how much traffic you are getting to your shared social links.
• Ow‌.ly link clicks - Track your Ow‌.ly link clicks and traffic.

Engagement

• Post engagement - Understand how engaged your audience is with the content you publish.
• Inbound engagement - Discover what your audience is saying about you.

Monitor your content’s visibility and engagement on each social network with pre-built report templates. You can find these when you select Create a report in Analytics.

• Facebook Pages- Facebook overview, Facebook audience, and Facebook engagement.
• X -X overview, X audience, and X engagement.
• Instagram Business - Instagram overview, Instagram audience, and Instagram engagement.
• LinkedIn Pages - LinkedIn overview, LinkedIn audience, and LinkedIn engagement.
• LinkedIn profiles - LinkedIn personal posts.

Select Create a report, and then select Custom report to create your own custom reports from scratch and track the metrics and results that matter to you. Learn how to create a custom report.

Favorite reports

Go to Analytics and select All reports to view and manage all your reports in Analytics. Learn how to manage your Analytics reports.

Benchmarking report views

Find out how your results and content strategy compare to the average in your industry and to your selected competitors. Go to Analytics, expand Benchmarking, and check out the following report views and links for more information:

• Industry benchmarking - Compare your performance with your industry average.
• Competitive analysis - Analyze your competitors' content strategies.

Organic reporting views

Learn how your posts are performing on social, find out when to post to increase engagement, or review how efficiently your team supports your audience and customers on social. Go to Analytics, expand Organic reporting, and check out the following report views and links for more information:

• Post performance - Review your overall post performance.
• Best time to publish - Discover the best times to post.
• Legacy team performance - Track your team's performance (legacy) (Enterprise plan members only).

Depending on your plan type and add-ons, you may also have access to the following report views and pre-built templates:

Metrics on posts published in the last 31 days continue to update as you work. If you are a long-time customer, you can find Post metrics data for dates as early as January 1, 2018.

Get to the reports you use most

Your reports and report views are yours to customize. You can move pins, pin, and unpin reports to the Favorite reports section of the left navigation so you can quickly access them again and again.

• To move or unpin a report, point to a pinned report in the left navigation and select the pin to move or unpin the report.
• To pin a report, go to All reports, open a report, select More actions, and then select Pin.
