Edit Amplify content

Want to make an update to an Amplify post? Make changes to your Amplify content directly in Amplify or in your Amplify stream.

Audience: Amplify admins

Edit a post in Amplify

Admins can edit content directly in Amplify.

  1. Go to Amplify , find the post you want to edit, and then select More options.

  2. Select from any of the following options:
    • Copy internal link - Copy a link to share it with other members.
    • Edit original post - Open and edit the post in Composer.
    • Delete post - Remove the post.
    • Send back to drafts - Remove the post from your members' Amplify view and put it into Draft status.

Tip: You can contact your customer success manager to do the following:

  • Restrict your members from sharing posts to a specific social account or to Hootsuite.
  • Let your members edit and personalize all Amplify content before they share it to their social accounts.
  • Share Amplify content to Facebook Pages or Instagram.

Edit a post in your Amplify stream

Edit any post in your Amplify stream. Remember, you can use the options at the top of your stream to see draft, scheduled, or posted content.

  1. Go to your Amplify stream , find the post you want to edit, and then select Edit at the bottom of the post.
  2. Select the text to edit it.
  3. Select from any of the following options:
    • Topics - By default, everyone can access posts. Select Everyone to select topics for the post. Learn more about topics.
    • Post to - Select the social networks members can share the post to. Your options are Facebook, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and mobile share. For more information on mobile share, see Amplify content guidelines and limitations.
    • Announcement - Turn this on if you want to share this post as an internal announcement in Amplify. Members cannot share these posts.
    • Expiry Date - Select Set Date, and then select an expiration date and time for the post. On this date, your members' Amplify view will no longer show this post. Admins can still find the post in the Amplify stream Posted section.
    • Image - Select Upload to add an image to your post. See Amplify content guidelines and limitations for image and video guidelines for each social network. Note the following information:
      • For Facebook Pages, you can't customize images associated with link previews.
      • When you upload an image in your Amplify stream, your members see a cropped version of the image. The complete image displays when they share the post. Because of this, your best option for including images is to create your post in Composer .
    • Feature Post – Pin the post to the top of the member's Amplify view and mark it as a featured post. The post will stay pinned to the top until the member sees it for the first time.
    • Advocates can edit - Turn this on to let your members edit the post before sharing it to their social accounts.
