Hootsuite is becoming Social OS — June 24, 2026

Some significant changes are coming to the web version of Hootsuite on June 24, 2026. This article explains what's changing, what's staying the same, and where to find everything you're used to in the new experience

Your existing features, content, and settings aren't going anywhere. Every capability you rely on today has a home in the new Hootsuite. The changes are primarily to how things are organized and named, not to the underlying functionality.

Introducing the Hootsuite Social OS

On June 24, 2026, Hootsuite becomes Social OS: a suite of purpose-built apps, each focused on a specific area of your social media workflow, connected by a single consistent navigation experience.

This evolution is designed to give your team a clearer, faster path to the tools and intelligence you need. Rather than navigating a single all-in-one product, you'll work in focused apps built for specific jobs, with a shared AI layer that connects them and surfaces the right information at the right time.

A suite built for the way you work

Here's a closer look at what each product does and where your existing workflows fit in.

Perch, your content hub

Perch is where you'll plan, create, and publish content. Everything you do today in Plan, Create, and Ads moves here, including your social calendar, approval workflows, and content library. AI-generated post ideas, captions, and hashtag suggestions are built in to help you move faster.

Nest, your social inbox

Nest brings all your customer messages into one place. Your existing Inbox experience moves here, along with tools to gauge sentiment, prioritize conversations, and respond using saved replies or generative AI.

Lumen, your social intelligence engine

Lumen is your social intelligence hub. Your Listening workflows move here. Lumen monitors brand mentions, tracks sentiment across more than 150 million sources in 187 languages, and surfaces competitive insights and emerging trends in real time.

Parliament, your employee advocacy platform

Parliament is where employee advocacy lives. If you use Amplify today, this is where you'll find it.

Wisdom, your AI workspace

Wisdom is the AI layer that connects the whole suite. You can ask Wisdom questions in plain language, get answers grounded in your connected accounts and content, and take action without switching between tools. Wisdom builds on the same underlying capabilities you have access to today through OwlyGPT.

Tip: We're retiring the Hootsuite homepage in Social OS. When you log in, you'll land directly on the last page or product you visited, so you can pick up right where you left off.

Same functionality, new home

Every feature from your current Hootsuite experience has a home in Social OS. Here's how things map across the update:

Classic to Social Os experience mapping
Classic Hootsuite	Social OS
Plan Create Ads Hootbio	Perch - content planning, scheduling, and publishing, including ads.
Inbox Streams	Nest - social customer care and conversation management, including streams
Listening	Lumen - social listening and intelligence
Amplify	Parliament - employee advocacy and brand amplification
OwlyGPT OwlyWriter AI	Wisdom - AI workspace and orchestration layer
Analytics	Available in Perch, Nest, and Parliament, so you have performance data right were you need it.
App directory	Now available under Account.

Hootsuite in your favorite AI tools

Social OS also introduces MCP connectors for Perch, Nest, and Lumen, so you can schedule posts, pull analytics, and manage your inbox directly from AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT, without building a custom integration.

What to expect on June 24

Your social accounts, content, and team permissions will all carry over automatically when Social OS launches on June 24. What happens next depends on how your organization uses Hootsuite:

Social OS changes by account type
Account type	Expected behavior on June 24
Standard and Advanced customers	Automatically migrated to Social OS. Admins can use a back-to-classic toggle in the organization settings to switch back if needed.
Business and Enterprise customers	Remain on the classic Hootsuite experience by default. Your admin will need to opt in to the Social OS experience.
New customers	Go directly into the Social OS experience; no option to revert to the classic Hootsuite experience.

Note: The toggle to switch back to classic Hootsuite is available until November 15, 2026. Once your organization switches to Social OS, you cannot revert to classic Hootsuite.
