Recruitment fraud warning - May 1, 2026

We’ve been made aware of an increase in sophisticated scam attempts where individuals are impersonating Hootsuite employees or recruiters to target job seekers. These scammers are using advanced tactics including cloned websites to appear legitimate.

To protect yourself, watch for these red flags:

• Non-official email addresses: Legitimate communications will only come from an official @hootsuite.com email address. Be cautious of look-alike domains such as infos-hootsuite.com or hootsuites.ca.
• Fake interviews: Hootsuite does not conduct formal interviews via text-based platforms like WhatsApp or Telegram. Furthermore, legitimate job offers are never extended after a single interaction.
• Requests for payment or sensitive data: We will never ask for financial details, credit card information, or "onboarding fees" during the application process.
• Replica websites: Always verify the website link. Our only official careers page is https://careers.hootsuite.com on hootsuite.com.

If you receive a suspicious message, do not engage. Instead, contact our team right away to report it.
