Leave an organization

If a change in your Hootsuite organization means you have to leave it, you can do that at any time. There are a couple of specific things Admins, Super Admins, and account owners must do before they can leave a Hootsuite organization:

• If you are an Admin or Super Admin, you must set your permissions to View Only or Default before you can leave.
• If you are the account owner who created the organization, you must transfer ownership before you can leave. Learn how to transfer Hootsuite account ownership.

When you leave an organization, you lose access to its social accounts. You also lose access to inherited plan features.

Remove yourself from an organization

If you're in multiple organizations, you'll have to do this for each organization you want to leave.

Follow the instructions for your plan. If you don't know what plan you have, go to Hootsuite and select Account - you'll find it below your name.

Standard, Team, and Advanced plan members

1. Go to Account , and then select Social accounts and teams (BETA).
2. Select Members. You may have to expand the left navigation to see this option.
   

3. Select More actions next to your name, and then select Delete from organization.
   

Business and Enterprise plan members

1. Go to Account, and then select Social accounts and teams.
2. Select Settings next to the organization, and then select Leave organization.
