Manage inbox sharing

Manage access to your agents' shared custom inboxes. Custom inboxes allow agents and teams to quickly access and organize Inbox conversations by agent, channel, conversation type, and more - and then share those with other agents and teams.

This article describes the new Social OS experience. If you haven't switched yet, select the Classic tab for instructions. Learn more about the Social OS experience.

Audience:  Inbox admins. This feature is restricted to certain plan types. If you don't see this feature, visit the Hootsuite plans page to see if it is included in your plan.

Allow agents to share inboxes

Allow your agents to share their custom inboxes with other agents and teams.

Social OSClassic
  1. Go to Nest, select Settings, and then select Admin settings.
  2. Expand Agent workspace, and then select Inbox sharing.
  3. Turn on or off inbox sharing.
    Inbox sharing with Enable inbox sharing turned on.

Manage access to a shared inbox

Add and remove agents and teams from shared inboxes, reassign owners to inboxes when a previous owner leaves the organization, and unshare a shared inbox.

  1. In Inbox Admin settings, expand Agent workspace, and then select Inbox sharing.
  2. Next to a shared custom inbox, select Actions , and then select Manage access or Unshare.
