Connect your accounts to Impact

Connect your social (organic), ad (paid), and website analytics accounts to Hootsuite Impact to get a complete view of your social performance.

Plans: Enterprise members with Hootsuite Impact

You can connect the following social, ad, and web analytics account types to Impact:

  Facebook Pages
  Instagram Business accounts
  Facebook & Instagram ads
  Twitter profiles
  Twitter ads
  LinkedIn Pages (Company and Showcase)
  LinkedIn ads
  YouTube channels
  Pinterest business accounts
  Google Analytics
  Adobe Analytics

Before you begin

Before you connect your accounts to Impact, check your social network settings (for example, check your Facebook settings in Facebook) to make sure your accounts have permission to authenticate in Hootsuite Impact. Check for the following permissions:

Facebook Pages

  • You must have Facebook Admin or Editor permissions for a Page to connect it to Impact. To learn more about Facebook Page permissions, see Manage roles for your Facebook Page.
  • You must have Facebook Business Manager access to be able to connect an ad account to Impact.

Instagram Business accounts

Twitter ad accounts

  • You must have Account Administrator or Ads Manager permissions for a Twitter ad account to connect it to Impact. See Access levels and permissions to learn more.

Connect your accounts to Impact

Connect your social (organic) and ad (paid) accounts to Impact.

  1. Sign out of your social and ad accounts.
  2. In Hootsuite, go to My other products, and then select Go to Impact. Impact opens in a new tab.
  3. Select Connections, and then select Add New Connection.
  4. Select the social network you'd like to connect to Impact.
    Note: Select your ad accounts from the Paid Content Beta Platforms section.
  5. Select Authorize+Connect.
  6. Follow the prompts to authorize the connection with Impact.

Important: After adding a connection to Impact, the connection requires additional Hootsuite configuration. Please reach out to your customer success manager to complete the process.

Once you connect your accounts, Impact retrieves 30 days of historical data, when available.
