Create an Advanced Audience
Create an Advanced Audience so you can reach the people most likely to take action on your Facebook ads. When you create your Advanced Audience, you choose an ad account and Facebook Page for the audience. You can use the Advanced Audience for any ad campaign you create using that ad account.
Before you begin
Make sure that the ad account associated with the Facebook Page you’re using for your ads is connected to Hootsuite. Learn more about managing ad accounts and advertising permissions in Hootsuite.
Make sure your CRM account is connected to Hootsuite. Learn more about adding a CRM account to Hootsuite.
Create an Advanced Audience
Follow these steps to create an Advanced Audience for your ad campaigns.
- Go to Advertise and select Advanced Audiences.
- Select Add an Advanced Audience.
- Select who you want to target with your audience. You can choose to target existing customers (based on your CRM data) or people who look like your existing customers (using Facebook’s Lookalike Audience feature).
- Select the CRM account you want to use from the list.
- Select the ad account you want to use with this audience.
- Select Next: Name and targeting criteria.
- Enter a name for your audience.
- Select the method you used to collect your customer data from the list.
- Set any additional targeting criteria, such as location, gender, age, and demographics.
- Select Create Advanced Audience to save your settings.
