Create and use saved replies in Inbox 2.0

Audience: Inbox 2.0 agents

Saved replies are pre-written responses to common questions and issues that you can quickly send to contacts to save time. They include a few words or sentences (sometimes called “canned responses”) that you can edit before sending.

You can use collections of saved replies that have been shared with your team, or you can create your own personal collection of saved replies.

Add saved replies to conversations

  1. Open a conversation, and then select Add saved reply.

  2. Select a saved reply from one of your collections to paste it into the reply box.
  3. Optionally, edit the saved reply before sending it.

Create, edit, or delete personal saved replies

You can create, edit, and delete any saved reply from your personal collection. Your personal saved replies are visible and accessible only to you.

Create a personal saved reply

  1. Open a conversation, and then select Add saved reply.

  2. Select Create saved reply.
  3. Enter a title and a message, and then select Save reply.

Your new saved reply is added to your personal collection.

Edit a personal saved reply

  1. Open a conversation, and then select Add saved reply.

  2. Point to the saved reply you want to edit, select , and then select Edit.
  3. Make your changes, and then select Save reply.

Delete a personal saved reply

  1. Open a conversation, and then select Add saved reply.

  2. Point to the saved reply you want to delete, select , and then select Delete.
