On February 20, 2019, we’ll be removing the synchronization between Assignments Manager and Inbox within the Hootsuite dashboard, to ensure that Inbox interactions are handled properly, and to provide accurate reporting.
What this means is that assignment and tagging actions from Assignments Manager and Streams will no longer be reflected in Inbox. The following workflows will not apply to messages in Inbox:
- Manually assigning Facebook Private Messages from Streams
- Manually re-assigning or resolving messages from Assignments Manager
- Automatically assigning and tagging Twitter Direct Messages via automation rules you’ve previously set up
Inbox assignments can still be created and resolved within Inbox, independent of these workflows. Enterprise users can also create automated assignments specifically for Inbox. In conjunction with these changes, as of February 20, Inbox assignment actions for private messages will be captured in the team analytics available to Enterprise, including resolution time-based metrics. To simplify reporting, Hootsuite Analytics will automatically combine the metrics from both Assignments Manager and Inbox in one report.
If your existing engagement workflow does not support Inbox; e.g. you require approvals or notifications, continue using Assignments Manager and Streams. Please check back for updates as we are constantly adding new functionality to Inbox.
