As of January 28, 2019, Hootsuite will stop support for Google+.
This is following Google’s announcement of October 2018 that it is shutting down Google+ for consumers. Google has recently announced plans to begin shutting down the network’s APIs as early as January 28, and will complete the shut down on March 7, 2019.
On January 28, authentication with Google+ will no longer be available. In Hootsuite, this means no longer being able to add or reconnect Google+ pages or profiles. Any messages scheduled to post to Google+ after January 28 could also fail to publish.
For those who previously used Google+ to sign in to Hootsuite, you can now use the new Google sign in button.
Google+ will be removed completely from Hootsuite dashboards on February 28, 2019.
