Manage tags

  

Manage inbound and outbound post tags for your organization in the tag library. Organization super admins, admins, and users with custom ‘Manage Message Tags’ permissions can access the organization’s tag library. For more information, see the following:

View tags in the tag library

  1. Go to My profile , and then select Social networks and teams.
  2. Select Tags in the organization to view the active tags.
  3. Select an option from one of the lists at the top of the page to manage your view.

Select a tag to view details, including date created and date modified.

Edit a tag

You can edit tag names and descriptions without affect your tag data.

  1. Go to My profile , and then select Social networks and teams.
  2. Select Tags in the organization to view the active tags.
  3. Select a tag from the library to edit the tag name or description.

Tip: Add a tag description to provide context for when the tag should be used. Descriptions are visible to team members when they apply tags to content.

Create a new tag

  1. Go to My profile , and then select Social networks and teams.
  2. Select Tags in the organization to view the active tags.
  3. Select Create New Tag.
  4. Enter a tag name and description (optional), and then select Create.

Batch create new tags

Create numerous tags at one time.

  1. Go to My profile , and then select Social networks and teams.
  2. Select Tags in the organization to view the active tags.
  3. Select Create New Tag.
  4. Select Batch Create.
  5. Enter a keyword, phrase, or hashtag, and then press ENTER to enter the next tag name.
  6. When you are finished entering all your tags, select Create tags.

Archive a tag

Archive tags to hide unused tags from the All Tags and Active Tags lists. This also removes them from the active filters in Analytics. You can archive tags to clean up your tag lists without deleting historical tag data.

  1. Select a tag from the Active Tag list.
  2. Select Archive.

To archive more than one tag at a time, filter the tag library by Active Tags, select multiple tags, and then select Archive Selected.

Unarchive a tag

Unarchive tags at any time to revert them to Active Tags, and view them in Analytics.

  1. Select a tag from the Archived Tags list.
  2. Select Unarchive.

To unarchive multiple tags, select the archived tags, and then select Restore Selected.

Delete a tag

You can archive tags to permanently delete them from the tag library. Deleting a tag will also delete all associated tag data.

  1. Select a tag from the Archived Tags list.
  2. Select Delete.
