Mention Twitter or Instagram users in your posts by tagging them in the compose message box. The user mentioned will receive a notification of the mention, and the published mention will link to the user in the social network natively.
Mentions in posts sent to more than one social network will only publish as hyperlinked mentions in the applicable social network. In the other social networks the mentions will be converted to plain text.
For Twitter mentions, you can search for a specific user when you enter @username into the compose box or composer. A list of results will populate for you to choose from.
Instagram users cannot be searched, but entering an Instagram user's exact @username will publish a hyperlinked mention.
To mention a user
- Select the social profile(s) that will send the post from the Social Profile Picker (top-left).
- Compose your message. Enter @username to mention the user.
Twitter: A list of results will populate. Select the username from the list.
Instagram: The @mention will remain in plain text, but will go live when the post is published.
- Complete your message.
- Click Send Now.
The @mentions feature will cache recently mentioned usernames with use, and populate them at the top of your list.
