Add or remove organization /team /social network members

Super admins and admins can invite other organization members. Invitees will receive an email invitation, which will prompt them to create a Hootsuite account if they don’t already have one. Invited members automatically get default organization permissions. They can be added to teams, or just be given access to a specific social network.

To check if your members have activated their accounts, select your profile image from the top of the launch menu, click the gear icon beside the organization name, and then click View Pending Invites.

Super admins or admins can also delete organization members. This will remove their collaboration access in the organization, as well as any advanced features they have access to through the organization.

Note: Team members with Free Hootsuite accounts are not automatically upgraded when they are invited to an organization. They will have access to certain advanced features through the organization only, but access to features in their own accounts remains at the Free level.

When a member is invited to a team (step 5), any streams in the Admin’s dashboard for the team’s social networks will be available to share with the new member. Copy these tabs and streams to the new member’s dashboard so they are already set up to collaborate when they join the organization.

  1. Check the box beside a tab name to copy all the streams in the tab, or click the drop-down arrow to select individual streams to share from each tab.
  2. Click Copy streams. Invited members must click Accept shared tabs when they sign in to their Hootsuite accounts.
