Search Twitter - iOS

  

Search Twitter right from the Hootsuite app to find trending topics, users, and content by keyword, hashtag, or location. Save your searches as streams so you can monitor important conversations. For example, listen to what people are saying about your brand or competitors. Or focus in on other opportunities to engage with customers.

To search trending topics by location

Twitter search displays a list of worldwide trending topics by default. If location settings are enabled on your device, local trending topics will be listed by default.

  1. Select Streams  and then select Search  in the top right.
  2. Select Change to enter or select a new location for trends.

To search for a Twitter user

  1. Select Streams , and then select Search  in the top right.
  2. Select Search Twitter, enter a username or other search query, and then select Search on your keypad.
  3. Scroll down to view the results under the People section.

To search for nearby tweets by keyword

  1. Select Streams , and then select Search  in the top right.
  2. Select Search Twitter, enter a keyword, and then select Tweets nearby.
  3. Optional: Select Refine Search at the bottom of the app to add advanced search filters to your results, and then select Done in the top right.
  4. Optional: Select Save in the top right to save the search as a stream, and then select the Twitter profile that will own the search stream.

To search for tweets by keyword

  1. Select Streams , and then select Search  in the top right.
  2. Select Search Twitter, enter a keyword, and then select Search on your keypad.
  3. Under the Tweets section of the results list, select Show more to view all results.
  4. Optional: Select Refine Search at the bottom of the app to add advanced search filters to your results, and then select Done in the top right.
  5. Optional: Select Save in the top right to save the search as a stream.
