Edit your Twitter search stream

After you’ve created a Twitter search stream, you can change your search terms or keywords. You can also clear content that’s been read and restore content that you’ve cleared.

Edit a Twitter search stream query

You can revise an existing Twitter search stream query without having to create a new stream. You can also rename an existing search stream.

  1. Go to Streams, and then go to your Twitter search stream.
  2. Select More options at the top of the search stream, and then select Preferences.
  3. Modify your search query:
    • Select Search at the top of the page to modify your search query.
    • Select Keyword at the top of the page to add a search word or phrase to your query.
  4. Select Save changes.

Clear read content or restore cleared content in Twitter streams

You can clear the content in Twitter home and mentions streams to remove read content and focus on new, unread content. Cleared content can be restored at any time.

  1. Go to Streams, and then go to your Twitter search stream.
  2. Select an option:
    • Select More options at the top of the search stream, and then select Clear stream.
    • To restore cleared content, select More options at the top of the search stream, and then select Restore cleared messages.
