You can edit content published to your own Facebook Pages and YouTube channels directly from Hootsuite streams, and you can delete content published to Twitter, Facebook Pages, and YouTube channels, which also deletes the content from the social network.

This article describes how to do the following in Streams.

For other social networks, select the timestamp on your post in the stream to open it directly in the social network, and edit or delete from there.

Edit a Facebook Page post or comment

You can edit posts and comments from the My Posts and Timeline streams. Page posts can't be edited if they've been boosted.

Note: Because of limitations imposed by each social network, editing published content in Streams is not possible with Facebook personal profiles, nor with Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn. You can edit these posts directly in the social network where they're published.
  1. Go to Streams, and then select the board hosting the Facebook Page stream.
  2. Select More options below the post or comment, and then select Edit.
  3. Make your changes, and then press ENTER to save.

Edit a YouTube video

You can edit video titles, descriptions, tags, categories, and privacy settings at any time. If the video is Unlisted or Private, you can schedule it to go public; if it's currently scheduled, you can modify the scheduled date and time.

  1. Go to Streams, and then select the board hosting the YouTube stream.
  2. Select More options below the video, and then select Edit.
  3. Make your modifications to the video, and then select Save in the top right.

Delete published content

Important: Posts published or scheduled to multiple social accounts must be deleted from each account individually. Deleting will remove the post from your account on the social network as well as in Hootsuite.
