Changes to Streams

As part of our ongoing effort to streamline the Streams experience and focus innovation where it delivers the most value, we're deprecating some features in Streams to ensure more efficient workflows for our customers.

Changes to X keyword search results in Streams - June 7, 2026

Starting June 7, 2026, keyword searches in your X streams will no longer return reposts. X has updated its search index, and this change affects all platforms using the X API.

If you rely on repost results to monitor topics or keywords, we recommend reviewing your X stream configurations and adjusting your searches to focus on original posts instead.

Deprecation of Streams functionality - May 5, 2026

The following Streams features are no longer available as of May 5, 2026:

• Adding and removing remove users from X lists. This feature has seen significant usage decline and lacks key functionality, such as username search and autocomplete.

• Inline analytics metrics for social posts. All the same data, and more, remains fully accessible in Hootsuite Analytics. Learn more about Analytics.

• Cloning dashboards. Admins can no longer copy tabs and streams to a new team member upon invitation. Learn how to onboard new team members.

Deprecation of Streams functionality - October 29, 2025

The following stream types are no longer available as of October 29, 2025:

• Facebook “My Activity” stream: To see the same type of content (for example, comments and replies by other profiles and Pages on your posts), you can use the “My Posts” stream type, or use Inbox.
• Facebook “Timeline” stream: To see the same type of content (for example, your own posts as well as visitors’ posts), you can use the “My Posts” stream.
• “Scheduled Post” streams: You can use the content calendar in Plan to view and manage your scheduled posts for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.

In addition, adding or removing YouTube videos to or from playlists in YouTube streams is no longer supported.
