Manage Hootsuite mobile notifications

If you want to be notified when your Instagram posts are ready to go live, someone mentions your brand, or someone sends you a private message, you can turn on notifications in the Hootsuite app.

The following notifications are available in the Hootsuite mobile app:

• Instagram publishing notifications - To remind you when posts are ready to be published via mobile notification on the Instagram app. For details, see Create an Instagram post, story, or reel.
• Twitter mentions and direct message notifications - To alert you when someone mentions or sends a direct message to your Twitter profile.
• Facebook Page post, comment, and reply notifications - To alert you to new posts, comments, or replies on your Facebook Page.
• Approval notifications - For Business and Enterprise plan members, to alert you to posts that require approval, or have been rejected, approved, or expired.

When notifications are turned on, they will appear in Notifications . Notifications are kept for seven days. When you have new notifications, the Notifications icon shows a red dot .

You can also turn on push notifications for the Instagram, Twitter, and Require my approval notifications.

Turn on notifications in the Hootsuite app

Notification settings are synced across all your devices. Push notification settings are unique to each device.

1. Select your profile picture to manage your account.
2. Select the Settings tab.
3. Select Notifications.
4. Select a social account.
5. Select the toggle for each notification type to turn it on or off.
6. Business and Enterprise customers see an Approvals tab. You can select the toggle on each notification type to turn on approval notifications.

To get push notifications, the notification type must also be enabled to show in Notifications.

Take quick action from push notifications

Notifications for Instagram publishing, Twitter activity, and posts that require approval can all be enabled as push notifications. The app icon on your device shows a new notification badge when you get any of these notification types.

You can take the following actions on Twitter and approval push notifications right from the notification without having to open the Hootsuite app:

• Twitter direct messages: Reply
• Twitter mentions: Reply, Like, or View profile
• Require approval: Approve or Reject

Press and hold the push notification for the action buttons to appear.

1. Select Streams.
2. Select Notifications in the top right.

Enable or disable Quiet Time (mute notifications)
