Add tags to track your outbound posts
Hootsuite Business and Enterprise plan members can add tags to outgoing posts when creating or editing a post and to inbound posts in streams. Tags help you track the success of your published content with Hootsuite Analytics. Tags are not publicly visible on your posts.

You must have super admin, admin, or custom organization permissions to ‘Manage Message Tags’ in order to create new tags and manage existing ones in the tag library. See also Manage tags.
Create a tag or add a tag to an outgoing post
- Go to Create new post .
- Next to Tags at the bottom of the window, select Add.
- Select Add a tag, and then choose one of the following options:
- Tag this post - Select the tags to add to your post. You can enter a keyword in the Add a tag box to search for a tag.
- Create a new tag - Enter a new tag name, and then select Create tag "[tag name]".
- Select Apply.
