Use tags to manage and organize your mentions

You can highlight, flag, and categorize the Insights mentions you want to take action on by adding tags to them within a saved search.

Note: Insights tags are not associated with Hootsuite post tags. These are independent and used for managing Insights mentions only.

Apply a tag to a saved search

Go to Insights, and then select Saved Searches to view the list of searches saved by your organization.
Select a saved search.
Select Mentions to view all mentions for your search.
Select Add Tag to search for a tag and select one or more to apply to the mention. If searching doesn’t produce a tag you’re looking for, select Create new tag to add a new one.

View tagged mentions

Go to Insights, and then select Saved Searches to view the list of searches saved by your organization.
Select a saved search.
Select Manage Tags to view a list with all your tags.
Select a tag from the list to review all tagged mentions. Note, you can’t make any changes to mentions in this view.

Create, rename, or delete a tag

Go to Insights, and then select Saved Searches to view the list of searches saved by your organization.
Select a saved search.
Select Manage Tags to view a list with all your tags.
- To create a tag, enter a name in the New tag name field, and then select Add.
- To edit or delete a tag, hover over it in the list, and then select Rename Tag or Delete .

Note: Deleting a tag removes it from any mentions tagged with it. Renaming a tag updates any mentions tagged with it.
