We are making some changes to Twitter reporting within Hootsuite Impact on January 1st, 2018.
While most metrics will remain, the following Twitter metrics will no longer be available in Hootsuite Impact:
- Favorites (organic only)
- Retweets (organic only)
- URL Clicks
- Hashtag Clicks
- Detail Clicks
- Permalink Clicks
- Media Clicks
- App Install Attempts
- App Opens
- Tweet Emails
- User Follows
- User Profile Clicks
- Video Views
- Engagement Rate
We’re working on a new and improved advanced Twitter metrics solution and will keep you posted. In the meantime, we recommend reaching out to your customer success manager to obtain these metrics.
What is the impact to my Twitter Ads data?
Twitter Ads data will be unaffected.
How do I pull my historical Twitter data with Engagement Metrics?
Historical Twitter data with Engagement Metrics must be exported before Jan 1, 2018. We recommend going to Browse Content and performing an export of Browse Content in order to collect your Engagement Metric stats per Tweet.
To export your Twitter data
- Click Browse Content in the left navigation menu.
- Click Export and then Download as CSV in the top-right corner to export your table in CSV format.
It may take a few minutes for the file to download. Note that there is a 500 row limit for Twitter. You may need to filter it into smaller chunks to export (e.g. by month).
What happens to My Analytics Tiles with Twitter Engagement Metrics?
Any Tile that was previously created with an Engagement Twitter Metric will display a 0. New Tiles created after Jan 1, 2018 for Twitter can be built using Total Favorites, Total Retweets and Potential Reach.
What happens to Recommendations?
As of Jan 1, 2018, you can select Total Favorites and Total Retweets for Twitter as business objectives to optimize your recommendations.
What happens to my customizable columns in Browse Content with Twitter Engagement Metrics?
As of Jan 1, 2018 all columns in Browse Content for Platform: Twitter will be reset to Total Favorites, Total Retweets and Potential Reach.
How will Filter Content Change?
Filter Content will display the following aggregated metrics for Twitter:
- Potential Reach
- Total Tweets
- Original Tweets
- Active Users
- Retweet Tweets
- Starting Conversation Tweets
- Total Retweets
- Avg. Retweets per Tweet
What happens to my ROI Analysis for Twitter Engagement Metrics?
As of Jan 1, 2018 ROI Analysis will be updated to display Total Favorites and Total Retweets for all Twitter Connections. Metric counts for Favorites and Retweets will remain the same as what was in your account before this change. If you would like to update your ROI settings please reach out to your customer success manager.
