Campaigns can fail to publish for different reasons, for example if Facebook detects a copyright issue in one or more of your creative assets. Publishing can also sometimes be unsuccessful on the first attempt, but will work after trying again.
This is why Hootsuite Ads will always automatically attempt to publish each failed campaign several times. If publishing continues to be unsuccessful, we will investigate the cause and notify you within 48 hours with what you can do to get your campaign published, or if the issue is on ours or Facebook’s side, what is being done to solve the issue.

To accommodate potential publication delay, or an ad being disapproved by Facebook, we recommend setting campaigns to start a day early.
If your campaign fails to publish, and you decide you don’t want to have it published anymore, you can delete the campaign.
Important: Deleting a campaign also deletes all of its ads and adsets, and deleted campaigns cannot be restored.
To delete a failed campaign
- Click Your campaigns on the main navigation bar, click Select a campaign, and then select Go to campaigns list from the drop-down menu.
- Under Campaign Status, check the Failed box and then click Filter.
- Check the box to the left of the campaign, and then click Delete .
