This option is not available on Mac as of this posting. According to the Google help page (link below), only for Windows or Linux :-( This severely limits Hootsuite's functionality for me. Any reason they don't offer a desktop app directly?
This was working for me for some time now on my Mac. I upgraded to Lion a few days ago. When I launched the HootSuite "Desktop" version today it no longer works. Not sure if it's related to Lion or just a coincidence.

The option to "Create Desktop Application" is greyed out when I try to do this. Why could that be?
