What should I do if I cannot log into HootSuite?

Login issues could be the results of a number of factors.

  1. Make sure you are logging in with the proper email and password. 
  2. If you are definitely using the proper email and password, do a hard refresh by pressing Ctrl and F5 at the same time before attempting to log in.
  3. Try clearing cookies and cache from your browser before attempting to log in. Consult your browser's help documentation on how to do this.
  4. If that doesn't work, try resetting your password.
  5. Try logging in from a different web browser
  6. Try logging in from a different computer
  7. If you are using a router, connect your computer directly to your modem to see if you can log in. If you still cannot log in, try a direct connection with a different computer to see if it's an issue with a specific computer.
  8. If you can log into HootSuite through a direct connection to your modem, it is probably an issue with your router's firewall. Adjust your firewall to allow logins for SSL (or the https protocol). For directions on how to do this, call your router's manufacturer.
  9. If nothing else works, try logging in on a different computer from a different IP address. If multiple computers cannot log in from the same direct connection to a modem, it may be an issue with your ISP.

These steps resolve 95% of all login problems.
