Different HootSuite accounts offer different capabilities. Listed below are the quantities of tabs, streams and social networks that a free HootSuite account will allow.

Tabs

Tabs are the separators along the top of the dashboard. They are useful when organizing your streams by content. A Basic HootSuite account can add a maximum of 20 tabs per dashboard.

Streams

Streams appear as columns within your HootSuite dashboard. They show mentions, dms, news feeds and so forth. A Basic HootSuite account can have a maximum of 10 streams per tab.

Social Network Profiles

Social network profiles are managed from within the HootSuite dashboard. HootSuite can help you manage social network profiles such as Facebook profiles, pages and groups, Twitter, Google+ pages and so forth. A Basic HootSuite account can hold a maximum of five social networks.
