JULY 5th: Solution to Issues Re-authenticating Twitter Profiles in HootSuite's Mobile Apps

If you are having issues re-authenticating your Twitter account through your mobile app, please follow these directions:

  • First, make sure you are running the latest version of HootSuite for iPhone, iPad, Android, or Blackberry
  • Re-authenticate your Twitter account through HootSuite.com by following these directions

  • On iPhone, Log Out of your HootSuite account on your mobile app and/or run the Welcome Wizard to re-import your new credentials

  • On Android, go to Settings then select HootSuite Account. Once there, re-enter your HootSuite credential to re-authenticate.
  • On Blackberry, press the Menu button, then select Launch Import Wizard from the menu.
    A dialogue box will then pop up that says, "This operation will delete all current HootSuite data on your device including avatars and mentions history. Are you sure?" Press "OK" to continue.
    You will then be brought to a screen that gives you the following options: "Create a HootSuite Account" or "Login". Press the Login button.
    Enter in your HootSuite Email address as well as HootSuite Password.
    When finished, select Import my account.
